Five Bulgarian Dances

These dances contain various tempo changes and some unusual harmonies. The tunes appears in all the parts. The dances require some good smooth string crossing. The first part has parts in 4th to 7th position. The other parts are easier. Works well as a quartet and also with a viola orchestra.

La Bamba

This Mexican folksong has syncopation and moves between duplets and triplets. There is an optional double stop section which makes it closer to grade 5. The backing track is really fun. It can also be played with piano accompaniment or as a duo for two violins.

A nice introduction to D minor. Can be played with piano accompaniment, backing track or as a duo for two violins.
